Challenge & Opportunity

Hillrom sales team needed to demonstrate PST 500 Precision Surgical Table across multiple clinic sites and events, but transporting bulky medical equipment was impractical and expensive. How do you deliver realistic, interactive product demos accessible anywhere without physical equipment logistics?

Scope & Decisions

High-Fidelity 3D Modeling & Real-Time Interaction

Worked with 3D artists to retopologise existing PST 500 surgical model to a programmable version, allowing users to explore PST 500's design and functionality in detail. Real-time rendering enabled virtual interaction with table's configurations (height, rotation, presets), simulating clinical use.

Content & Analytics Integration

Integrated instructional videos, user manuals, and technical specifications within AR experience. Power BI analytics tracked which features received most exploration, informing UI refinements and lead capture optimisation.

Impact & Results

Sales team conducted demos across clinics and conferences with portable devices, reducing average demonstration time from 2 hours to 30 minutes per session. Power BI analytics revealed engagement patterns that improved sales follow-up efficiency.
